Privacy policy
Lulo is a baby-care log for iPhone, made by Nicholas Burns. This policy explains what happens to the information you enter. The short version: we don’t collect any of it.
What we collect
Nothing. Lulo has no accounts, no servers of its own, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it includes no third-party code that collects data. We never see, receive or store your family’s information.
What Lulo stores, and where
When you use Lulo you enter information such as your baby’s name, birth date and, optionally, sex; feeds, bottles, nappies, sleep and where it happened; growth measurements; and the name you choose to show your partner. Lulo keeps this:
- On your iPhone, in the app’s own storage.
- In your own iCloud account, through Apple’s CloudKit, when iCloud is on for Lulo. This lets your entries reach your other devices. Lulo stores entry details in CloudKit’s encrypted fields. We can’t access your iCloud data. Growth measurements are the exception: they stay on the iPhone they were entered on and never go to iCloud.
- With the people you invite. If you share your family from Family → Invite a caregiver, the people who accept can see and add to the same log through their own iCloud accounts, apart from growth measurements, which each iPhone keeps to itself. You can stop sharing at any time from the same screen.
Features that involve Apple
- Purchases. Lulo Pro is bought through the App Store. Apple handles payment. Lulo only learns whether Pro is unlocked on your Apple Account.
- Siri and Shortcuts. When you log by voice, Apple processes the request under Apple’s privacy policy, and Lulo writes the entry on your iPhone.
- Notifications. Rhythm reminders are scheduled on your iPhone and are off until you turn them on.
- Live Activities. A running feed or sleep, including your child’s name, can show on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. You can turn Live Activities off in iOS Settings.
Reports
PDF care summaries are made on your iPhone and leave it only when you choose to share them.
Children
Lulo is for parents and caregivers, not for children to use. Information about a child is entered by their caregivers and stays under their control as described above.
Deleting your information
- Remove a child in Family to delete them and every entry logged for them, for everyone sharing the family.
- Deleting Lulo removes what’s stored on your iPhone.
- To delete what’s in iCloud, open iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Storage (Manage Account Storage) → Lulo.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
